Thank you for taking the time from your busy schedule to repsond to my posting.
This has been a really difficult ride for me, I'm am the only child and as out family is so very tiny, it even got smaller when my mom passed. It is now just my dad and myself. My mom was an everyday part of my life and she pulled through multiple cancers. This one just over came her and I don't even think she thought it would take her, she was the most brave fighter I ever knew. We did not have a good Hospice experience and my church turned me away as I haven't participated since I was young. I do go to counseling and I am getting involved in a group. However, the pain will be with me and I will always miss her company.
Thank you for your insite and the answer to why her eyes were closed. When I cried to her one day and told her how much I would miss her, she opened her eyes and watched me speak, when I was done she closed them again. Now I realize how difficult that probably was for her to do. It really meant so much.
I still think the tear was from not wanting to leave us. But, hopefully one day I will be with her again.
